At 15 years old, Michael Parr and Rachel Nichol first met. After losing touch, they reconnected when they were 23 and then finally meeting each other again in 2012 when they decided to connect.  The couple dated for three years when Mike determined it was time for him to pronounce his love for Rachel. On June 4th of 2015, Mike proposed to Rachel at the top of a mountain, a new subdivision where the two had purchased a home together back in February, earlier that year.  They had a 360-degree panoramic view of the hill country, and Mike had Rachel’s son included in the proposal making the moment extra special.

Both at age 35, Mike is an environmental attorney for the state and Rachel is in IT sales and recruiting. In their spare time together, they enjoy going to concerts, taking rides on their Ducati, and spending quality time together trying new restaurants and going on spontaneous adventures.

Blessed with six wonderful bridesmaids and groomsmen to stand by them on their wedding day, Rachel and Mike started wedding planning. Rachel, knowing she wanted a romantic and elegant wedding chose navy and blush as her primary colors with hints of neutral colors such as ivory and rose gold.  The single most important aspect of the wedding for the engaged couple was for the music to be upbeat to set the tone of the evening. The newly engaged couple hoped that all would flow well, the atmosphere of the ceremony would be intimate, and guests would enjoy the reception celebrating with the newly married couple.

 With a small  guests list of less than 100, the two married at The Green Cathedral ceremony site followed by cocktail hour under The Trellis. The new Mr. and Mrs. Parr let loose on the dance floor with their closest friends and family in The Great Hall for their reception. Concluding the celebration, Rachel and Mike ended the night with a sparkler exit.

Rachel believed that meeting up with Mike when she did was fate, the right moment to spend the rest of their lives together. They are lucky to have each other to count on one another as the male and female lead roles in their story of each other’s lives as they have just begun as Mr. and Mrs. Parr.
