While Molly and Brycen met in college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, the two both worked at a resort during the summer and developed  a great relationship while working there.  After Molly had left the resort, that is when the two started dating.

On July 3rd of 2015, Brycen invited Molly’s best friend and his best friend as well as family to fly out to Austin for the 4th of July to surprise Molly. The couple had just closed on their first home in Lakeway and had not moved in yet. Brycen brought Molly to the back of the house and proposed in the backyard. All of the hiding family and friends came out, and the newly engaged couple celebrated with some La BBQ and partied into the night. The next day everyone attended Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic.

While enjoying their engaged status, Molly and Brycen loved decorating and working on their new house as well as wedding planning (I know, who would have thought a couple actually liked to do that!), traveling back to California for weddings, but they most of all loved spending the day with their little furry baby, Bud!

While the two got down to the wedding planning, they decided on an elegant, romantic feel with a color palette of gold and neutrals with a hint of blush and lilac. Plenty of greenery and white flowers were a must as well.

Molly and Brycen were excited to bring all their friends together at Ma Maison and make some great memories.  One of the most important aspects of the wedding for Brycen was to ensure that Molly was having the time of her life. The engaged couple also wanted their guests, who were mostly from out of town, to have a memorable weekend and be able to experience all that Austin had to offer.

Wedding day had finally arrived, and Molly and her eight bridesmaids gathered in Ma Maison’s bridal suite to get ready.  Brycen and his nine groomsmen arrived later in the day to get dressed in the groom’s den. Guests began to arrive and made their way to The Grove ceremony site.  Molly and Brycen said their “I Dos” and became Mr. and Ms. Wagner!

The trellis was set for cocktail hour. Family and friends enjoyed passed appetizers and some signature cocktails. One drink even dedicated to Bud, the couple’s pup.

As guests and wedding party transitioned into The Great Hall for the reception, they were greeted by lush arrangements and mixed linens on the tables. A head table of farmhouse tables were down the center of the room with a large floral chandelier placed above the bride and groom’s chairs. Lit on the wall was a large gobo with the couple’s branded monogram that was used throughout the wedding. Once dinner had finished, the Nightowls band rocked the night away!

With a sparkler exit to end the magical evening, the newlyweds walked through the tunnel of light and left in their getaway car. After the wedding, they planned a quick little mini-moon in the Hill Country with a trip to the Bahamas later in the fall.

Some advice the planning couple had to newly engaged couples was to start early. Have fun with the process and don’t get “analysis paralysis.” Invite as many friends as you can afford!
