You may be able to plan how your flowers will look on your wedding day. And you may triple-check with the caterer that there are enough servings available for all of your guests. But if there’s one thing you can definitely not plan, that is the weather on your wedding day.

It doesn’t even matter what season you chose for your “I Do’s”. Weather can be just as unpredictable in the summer as it is on a late winter evening – so the best thing you can do is be prepared to face the rain in case it decides to “show up” for your wedding.

How to make sure pouring rain doesn’t dampen the spirits of your Big Day? We have gathered some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

·         Planning an outdoor ceremony or reception? Please make sure to have some kind of plan B in store – even if it’s just umbrellas for your guests or a wedding tent for the entire party. Ideally, you should find a venue that provides you with multiple options, so that you can be absolutely certain none of your guests (or you) get soaking wet under the pouring skies.

·         Be ready for the outdoor photos too. If you have asked your photographer to shoot outdoor photo of you and your wedding party, prepare yourself for the worst case scenario. Bring transparent umbrellas with you and, if you want to have some fun, give your wedding party some colorful rubber boots too. This will make for an interesting blend and it will add so much uniqueness to your wedding album!

·         Last, but not least, smile. This is not the end of the world (although by the looks of it, a never-ending rainy day may feel like a true Apocalypse). Smile, have fun and remember this day for its best parts. Nothing and nobody should have the “right” to ruin such a special moment in your life – not even rain!
