About courtney

"Growing up I enjoyed playing sports, playing the piano and sleeping. After high school I went to Texas A&M University where I learned how to perfect my skills baking in a microwave, and all of the other useful life skills college teaches you. When it came time to graduate I realized I wasn't ready for the "real world" and decided to fulfill my mom's prophecy of me becoming an attorney by attending St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio.  After 3 years of lugging around heavy books, ruining my eyes reading extra small print, and numerous tests, I decided to continue my tour across Texas and ended up in Amarillo working at Sprouse Shrader Smith. Three weeks after moving to Amarillo I met Jedd. Now we split our time between working, hanging out with great friends, playing golf, and being outdoors."

About Jedd

"Jedd was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle.  He and his two brothers were raised by Danny and Suedell, who kept the boys busy playing music, backpacking, hunting, fishing and playing sports.  Jedd focused on golf and cello through highschool.  After graduating from Texas Tech he began his career in the construction industry working on projects in central Texas and Louisiana; eventually moving back to Amarillo.  Jedd's immediate family includes his parents, Danny and Suedell and brothers Jake and Austin.  Jake's wife Kelly, daughter Jenna and Austin's wife Sarah, and son Kade are wonderful additions to the family.  They tolerate their quirky brother-inlaw."

How He proposed?

"We were engaged in Taos, New Mexico while enjoying a weekend of skiing and unwinding.  Jedd had spent the previous few months finding the perfect ring.  The ski trip was planned before he selected the ring and it only arrived one day before their scheduled departure.  Thankfully Courtney had no idea what the weekend had in store for their future.  Jedd carried the ring in his pocket while traveling and skiing before he was able to propose.  Dinner and live music were the prelude to the proposal in the very dimly lit (much to Jedd's suprise) town square.  Once Courtney finished laughing/squeaking/crying she was able to say, "Yes."
