Becky and Brett were introduced through eharmony.com, and after a few messages and emails, the two decided to make a date. For their first date, Becky and Brett made plans to eat at Taverna in downtown Austin. Becky was running a little late, which worried Brett but he stayed hoping not to be stood up. Once Becky got to the restaurant, the two had a great meal and even more fantastic company. By the end of the date, they knew they had to see each other again.

While Becky and Brett dated, they enjoyed outdoor activities, watching movies, and hanging out with family and friends. One of the fondest memories they share is the day they brought their dog, Heidi, home. After researching and finding the best breeder, the two waited until the day they could bring their fur baby home. Since they have called Heidi their own, she has been a wonderful companion to the two and extended their partnership to a little family.

After the two became inseparable and dated for quite a while, Brett decided it was time to pop the question. Becky was suspicious that it might have been coming but didn’t know for sure. On Thanksgiving day, while both their families were in town, Brett thought that would be a perfect time. Becky’s mother and sister knew something was up and had champagne chilling all night but as the evening went on, nothing happened, so they assumed they were wrong. Near the very last part of the evening, Brett stood up and thanked everyone for coming together for Christmas. Becky reminded him that it was Thanksgiving, she had no idea how nervous he was. Then Brett asked her to come and stand next to him, as Becky stood there he got down on one knee and proposed. Becky was taken by surprise but was beyond ecstatic. It was very important and meant so much that their families were present for the proposal.

The two got to wedding planning in between their busy work schedules. Brett is a Captain in the U.S. Army, and Becky is in the medical field. After busy work weeks, the engaged couple chose a romantic, French country style for their wedding day. Ma Maison could not have been a better fit for their vision! To complete the look, dusty blue, ivory, and soft pink colors were the main wedding colors.

After all the planning, Becky and Brett’s October 9th wedding day had arrived! The Grove ceremony site was set for the couple’s 120 guest count. Six groomsmen and six bridesmaids stood by Becky and Brett’s side at the ceremony. After the couple had said “I Do,” the new Mr. and Mrs. headed off for some photos. Guests made their way to the Trellis for a few cocktails and appetizers. The Great Hall held the reception with dinner followed by dancing.  After everyone had danced the night away, it was time for the sparkler exit!
